We provide clients with meaningful, strategic leadership which spans media planning and buying, data analysis and activation, creative content development, direct response, and performance marketing. Havas Media has an immediate position available for a Group Director, Client Experience in the Toronto office. As a Group Director, Client Experience you are responsible for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of client deliverables and business direction. You are expected to lead your clients line of business, championing meaningful media with your clients and internal team. To be successful, you have a keen ability to develop strong partnerships across your industry from all agency departments, your clients, and media vendors. You are a collaborator that can develop and mentor your direct reporting, as well as work closely with agency management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Client & Partnership Strategic Media Account Leadership : Guide the development & execution of integrated media strategies and attend and strategically contribute to client planning meetings Identify all up-sell opportunities with existing clients Collaborate with the EVP and VP in the creation and negotiation of yearly client contracts and supplemental proposals and manage account profitability Assist in and oversee developing overall strategic media approach with all media disciplines (traditional, digital, trade, etc.) and present media strategies and recommendations to clients Develop a tight partnership with all agency service line leads to ensure proper team resource management Build trusting collaborative relationships with clients of all levels Monitor campaign performance, working with departments to track key metrics and adjusting approach to achieve desired outcomes Thought Leadership Stay on top of industry trends and new media opportunities, and foster innovative thinking in the media planning group Maintain senior client, and internal stakeholder relationships. Stay on top of business and client concerns to head off issues early Accurately represents the clients point of view, ultimately focused on doing the best work for the Clients business Team Management and Growth Assist in the development of training curriculum for new employees Research and recommend training programs for ongoing team education Mentor and manage team of Media Planners, Buyers and Campaign Managers to achieve employee goals Collaborate with media leadership team on management of departmental meeting & communications Make recommendations to media leadership team on account assignments and workload management for the media team Experience Requirements: Minimum 10 years in a media buying, planning or strategic marketing role, agency experience preferred Experience in media planning across all channels (print, broadcast, audio, digital, OOH) Focus on performance media with a strong understanding of biddable channels Attention to detail and the ability to work in a team, collaborate with and influence others. Excellent written and oral communication skills Confident in client-facing interactions and delivering compelling presentations along Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
