The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Hilton. Prestige Hospitality Corp is seeking a General Manager Dual Property to lead the operations of Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North and Homewood Suites by Hilton Calgary Airport, perfectly situated close to Calgary International Airport. Job Summary The General Manager is a polished, well-spoken, and well-regarded ambassador who carries a strong vision for the hotel. He or she is charged with responsibility for all aspects of operations for their property, providing support supervision, and guidance to their management team and front-line associates. He or she will ensure that financial performance is optimized, that high-quality product and service levels are maintained, and that the hotel is operated in compliance with provincial and federal regulations as well as Company and brand standards. The General Manager will establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives such as the sales plan and budget development and execution of physical property improvement projects. He/ She will provide hands-on leadership to ensure that revenue is maximized while expenses are effectively controlled. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree or previous experience in the hospitality is required. At least 3 years experience as GM, preferably within the Hilton brand or at least a competitive branded Hotel or resort with its F&B Operations. Experience working with Brand Standard compliance audits Experience leading a full property renovation Strong understanding of the market, Canadian economy, government legislation etc. Mathematical skills are needed including but not limited to basic math problem solving reasoning negotiating budgeting profit/loss concepts variances and percentages are often used. Strong relationship skills with strong oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate would be well-versed with the Front desk system and other applicable systems, preferably Hiltons or of a competitive. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to be on call when away from work. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages all sources of revenue including the rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments. Ensures all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships. Reviews pricing strategies and knows market segments. Responds quickly to changing market conditions and revises strategies accordingly. Actively participates in sales discussions meetings and plans. Knows key account executives and business base. Knows monthly production levels for each salesperson on the staff. Promotes the hotels policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction. Walks all properties on a regular basis and reviews preventative maintenance programs Partners with property leadership to create the hotels annual budget and monitor the performance of the hotel throughout the year. Analyzes monthly financial reports and identifies opportunities. Maintain and follow proper Human Resources guidelines. Completes a property Quality Assurance and franchise review as needed. Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress. Follows company policies and procedures and can effectively communicate them to subordinates. Ensures hotels comply with all provincial and federal laws. Other duties as assigned by the Ownership Group.
