Centennial College is looking for individuals to join our Board of Governors to assist us in providing effective governance and oversight. We are recruiting candidates for two (2) board positions with three-year terms beginning September 1, 2025 , to increase capacity in several areas, including Construction, Finance, Asset Management, IT and Cyber Security, and Government Relations. Centennial College, founded in 1966, is Ontarios first public college. Anchored primarily in the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area, the college boasts five campuses and two satellite locations. Renowned for its outstanding teaching, creative curriculum, and robust network of partnerships, Centennial students pursue their education in diploma, certificate, and degree programs across various fields, including business, media, arts, community and consumer services, engineering technology, healthcare, and transportation. Board members must commit to at least 8 -10 hours per month , including attendance and participation in board and committee meetings, retreats, professional development, onboarding, and college events, providing guidance and support and fulfilling other duties. Our board supports our new governors with an onboarding process with rich resources for learning, mentorship and professional development through Colleges Ontario, Colleges and Institutes Canada and other partners.
