Logistics Coordinator Our client, an established logistics company is currently searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in the Halton region Responsibilities: Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL. All equipments and modes including temp-control Source carriers for all freight movements Track loads and provide customers with up-to-date information Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customer service team Liaise with customer service and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments Work closely with customer service team to ensure smooth execution of all freight movements Respond quickly to spot quotes Ensure TMS contains current and complete data Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues Follow up on delivery delays or security issues Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS Grow and maintain existing and new carriers Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail Provide carrier costing to Sr team for RFPs and Bids Qualifications: Minimum 2 years logistics or dispatch experience in the transportation industry Experience in cross boarder shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckload Ability to make quick decisions Understanding of crossborder and domestic TL and LTL market rates Strong attention to details Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task Effective teamwork skills Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities Strong communication, customer service and computer skills Ability to build rapport with both carriers and customers
