The Job! As a Portfolio Manager, you act as an independent entity under the firms banner, and you will: Manage book of business consisting of client portfolios Create personalized solutions for each client based on their needs Handle day-to-day activities and working plans Maintain consistent and professional communications with clients Conduct business with discretion and good judgment Provide sound advice to clients on their wealth management options Optimize tax and estate planning to enhance and maintain wealth Develop financial plans tailored to clients goals Review and analyze data and metrics, providing reports and updates to clients Facilitate meetings as required to discuss portfolio performance Advise on investment opportunities and products Collaborate with assistant(s) to manage information and documents Prospect new clients to grow your book of business Maintain strong relationships with clients What you bring to the job You are smart, respectful, friendly, and ambitious with equipped with integrity. You thrive as a professional in financial services with a consistent, proactive and self-motivated approach. You can set targets and achieve them without prompting. You enjoy challenging yourself and striving to do better and better. You also have: Post-secondary education in finance or a similar field Certification as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Registered or close to registration with OSC or CIRO Experience managing investment portfolios and transactions Knowledge of securities, insurance, mutual fund industries, etc. Effective research skills and knowledge of market news and insights An established book of business with loyal clients Experienced and proficient with financial planning tools/software Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Qualified job seekers are asked to apply with attention to Rhiannon Bodman.
