This is a unique opportunity to lead in a state-of-the-art retirement residence and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents while helping to shape the future of our newest location! *Opening soon!* As the Assistant Director of Care you will be accountable to the Director of Care for the day to day management of the nursing department and resident care services. You will ensure the delivery of optimal care and services. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of caregivers to ensure high-quality senior care. Oversee daily operations in assisted living and nursing home settings, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Administer medications and manage budgets effectively. Provide support and training in dementia care and nursing practices. Maintain clear communication with staff and families regarding resident care and needs. Ensure all staff members are CPR and First Aid certified and adhere to safety protocols. Requirements: Current registration as a RPN at the relevant nurses college Possess current First Aid/CPR certificate Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing is desirable Must have knowledge of the nursing process Post-graduate studies in geriatrics is desirable Must have good leadership and communication skills Possession of skill in planning, coordinating, and supervising a comprehensive nursing care program If interested, please send your resumes for review.
