A career in Corporate Restructuring with Grant Thornton will provide you an opportunity to: Work with a team of professionals who take satisfaction in providing solutions to companies facing financial challenges Be part of a unique work culture that challenges you to further your professional development and enlarge your chosen career path Be part of a fast-growing environment with well-respected professionals who are locally renowned in their respective field To be exposed to various aspects of the advisory services practice, including transactions, due diligence, valuations and restructuring As an Associate / Senior Associate, Restructuring your responsibilities will include: Main point of contact and interacting with stakeholders on file engagements (creditors, debtors, lawyers, lenders, etc.) for creditors and legal inquiries Assist in reviewing and analyzing financial information, financial projections and business plans Building and maintaining client relationships with banks, lawyers and other clientele Preparing, editing and proofing key correspondence, client and court reports, and letters to stakeholders Filing various official documents with the Courts and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and ensuring all deadlines are met Hands-on role on file engagements including communicating with stakeholders, attending to file issues on an as-needed basis and developing resolutions Reviewing invoices, preparing payments and handling trust account duties; preparing summary of receipts and disbursements for trust accounts as needed Reviewing proofs of claims for compliance with requirements pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and entering into software Coordinating and attending external/internal meetings and events Tracking project progress, milestones, and deadlines Arranging, participating in, and taking notes at meetings Ad Hoc projects based on skills including taking possession of debtor assets, preparing GST returns, Tax returns, accounting analysis, summarizing financial information, etc. Other additional responsibilities based on the aptitude and skills of the candidate If youre a bit like us, youre driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking.
