Job Title: Design Section Manager (DSM)Location: Hybrid (1-3 days per week in-office)Industry: Nuclear Engineering / Power GenerationAbout the RoleWe are urgently seeking a Design Section Manager (DSM) to support Pickering Refurbishment. This role will involve providing technical leadership, problem-solving, and guidance on nuclear Structures, Systems, and Components (SSCs) modifications while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and OPG Engineering Change Control (ECC) procedures.The DSM will manage a team of Design Team Leads (DTLs), Design Engineers (DEs), and Modification Team Leads (MTLs), ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to safety and engineering standards.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with OPG ECC guidelines and procedures for Detailed Design Deliverables.Lead a team of engineers, ensuring their work meets technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.Approve design outputs and ensure quality assurance.Oversee technical consultation, problem resolution, and engineering guidance on nuclear modification projects.Ensure all subordinates are fully qualified and competent in their roles.Promote a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment within the Design and Project Management teams.Provide expertise to regulatory agencies and OPG personnel as needed.Qualifications & Requirements Engineering Degree (any discipline) Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering and design within the nuclear sector OPG or Bruce Power Security Clearance (MUST HAVE)Preferred QualificationsQualified or eligible for:Design Engineering Supplemental QUAL ID 45233Stepped-up Supervisor QUAL ID 4103
