We''re helping a national staffing & consulting business find a player-coach to lead a team based in Calgary. The team is responsible for net new business and account management in the Alberta technology staffing & staff augmentation practice. We''re looking for an experienced salesperson who''s interested in a team leadership role with a well-defined track to management. You''ll lead and coach a small team of salespeople alongside building and growing a contract-focused book of business in the Alberta technology sector. The company will transition some warm accounts to you from day one so you won''t have to start from scratch. Since the team are already up and running, your focus will be mentoring and coaching them to drive their long-term success. That won''t come at the expense of your own earnings as you''ll earn commissions and cash bonuses based on both your billings and your team''s performance. As part of the broader national business, your team can count on reliable delivery from dedicated specialist recruitment teams. You''ll be able to leverage that national capacity and reputation to win business, too. Whether it''s increasing account penetration across multiple disciplines or back-office support to bid on complex projects, you''ll have proven resources behind you. That includes the marketing support you''d expect from a mature national business. In the long run, you''ll have regular opportunities for consistent career progression into the management team (most of whom have been promoted from within the business) but you''ll choose your own path. This role offers a base salary (~$80,000) plus commission and bonus plan as well as a first-class extended benefits package, 20 vacation days, and RRSP matching. It''s a hybrid role based in the downtown Calgary office 3 days a week. Requirements At least a few years of end-to-end sales experience selling temporary & contract services in the technology staffing industry. Some relevant B2B sales leadership experience, ideally as a team lead whether you were recognized with the title or not. It''d be a big help if that comes from within the staffing industry. A good grasp of the commercial landscape in Alberta and especially the Alberta technology labour market You must be independently legally-authorized to work in Canada as my client is not able to sponsor a visa or otherwise assist with the immigration process.
