Job Description

We are seeking a number of experienced Radio Frequency Design Engineers to lead design and implementation of WiFi and 5G solutions for large-scale public sector buildings, specializing in indoor wireless network planning. Primary Responsibilities: Lead RF design for complex indoor wireless deployments. Conduct RF site surveys and coverage analysis. Develop detailed RF designs for WiFi 6/6E and 5G systems. Create coverage predictions and heat maps. Perform interference analysis and mitigation planning. Technical Design & Documentation: Produce detailed design documentation (RF plans, cable routes, equipment specs). Develop link budgets and coverage calculations. Create equipment schedules and specs. Design distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small cell solutions. Implementation & Optimization: Oversee installation and configuration of RF systems. Conduct post-installation testing and verification. Perform system optimization and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with architects, building managers, and other stakeholders. Provide technical guidance to installation teams. Report progress to project management and client representatives. Technical Qualifications: Required Technical Knowledge: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field OR relevant experience. Professional RF certifications (e.g., CWNA, RCDD) preferred. CURRENT Reliability or SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance. Technical Expertise: Minimum 7 years experience in RF design, particularly indoor wireless networks. Proficiency in RF design and simulation tools. Deep understanding of WiFi 6/6E standards and 5G technology. Experience with iBwave or similar RF design software. Knowledge of passive and active DAS systems. Specific Technical Skills: RF propagation modeling. Link budget analysis. Interference detection and mitigation. Network capacity planning. Power requirements calculation. Cable loss calculations. RF measurement tool operation (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers). Standards Knowledge: IEEE 802.11 standards (particularly WiFi 6/6E). 3GPP 5G standards. Relevant building codes and standards. EMF exposure guidelines. Public sector wireless security requirements. General: Understanding of government ICT security frameworks (essential). Familiarity with government wireless security standards.
