This role is a Contract role with an estimated contract duration of 12 months with a possibility of extension. Responsibilities: Manage material orders with team support. Maintain a list of approved suppliers by commodity. Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to qualified bidders. Evaluate bid quotations based on various factors like price, delivery, and quality. Provide recommendations for problem-solving in line with project goals. Negotiate terms including price, delivery, and payment conditions. Conduct meetings for bid clarification and supplier performance. Collaborate with various departments such as Quality, Engineering, and Construction. Act as a liaison between the company, suppliers, and clients. Coordinate technical reviews and issue purchase orders. Monitor and report on supplier performance. Organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. Generate and manage documents and reports. Perform data entry in the Material Management system. Close out purchase orders upon completion of requirements. Maintain auditable purchase order files. Support project estimating with equipment pricing inputs. Uphold ethical standards and comply with policies and procedures. Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Develop and apply core skills to the job. Travel as needed for business matters. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Requires at least five to seven years in Material Management or Project Procurement. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. Possesses the necessary technical expertise related to the job to meet the job requirements. Has the capacity to learn and apply knowledge of pertinent local, state/province, and federal/national laws and guidelines. Exhibits the ability to focus on details and work efficiently within time constraints.
