The Manager is responsible for leading the team responsible for digital communication, content production, social media strategies and events for both current and future-state work streams aimed at providing innovative, audience-first digital and creative communications solutions.THP is looking for a talented leader who can provide senior level counsel and advice and enhance brand presence and awareness to support an ambitious organizational mission. This individual also has experience building and sustaining brand presence within complex, rapidly changing environments.The successful candidate will work closely with diverse multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, communicators and strategists to produce innovative work that engages a wide range of audiences including internal partners, patients and caregivers, the general public, donors, the broader health care community and government. The Manager will be responsible for prioritizing and designing communications initiatives in alignment with organizational strategy, while managing/leading a team.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze opportunities for enhanced and inclusive communications opportunities with partners and the community to advance our mission and strategic goals.Coach, mentor, and manage the performance and deliverables of a team ensuring quality and timeliness of work performed.Provide communications counsel, advice, and decision support to multi-disciplinary teams of hospital professional staff, clinicians, service providers to implement programs and services.Aligned with THPs strategic plan and overall business objectives, develop and execute plans that drive THPs goal in delivering a patient-centered approach to digital communications.Understand the value, purpose and best application of all corporate digital channels, including web, intranet, social media and digital signage to deliver an integrated communications experience.Understand the value, purpose and best application of content production, to build the organizations brand.Work collaboratively with partners across THP, Information Services, THP Foundation and external vendors in overseeing timelines, budget and key deliverables on critical digital and integrated digital projects.Apply a deep knowledge of digital leading practices and emerging trends, to infuse day-to-day interactions and projects with sound recommendations for enhancing THPs digital presence.Work with internal business partners and serve as an expert advisor on digital and creative communications planning and content development, working with teams to leverage content and stories for external use.Execute on and refine the social media strategy and editorial approach to grow online communities, serve patients, celebrate our people, build credibility, and grow affinity to the THP brand.Evaluate and report on key performance metrics, drawing insight from the data to ensure continual adjustments and improvements are made across all digital communications touch points.View processes, practices and projects with a fresh eye and perspective to consider new approaches and areas of opportunity.Oversee the strategic alignment of events with content creation.QualificationsSuccessful completion of a degree or Diploma in digital media, digital communications, public relations, journalism or a related field from an accredited educational institutionExperience leading people and building strong teamsMinimum seven to ten years of practical experience in developing, coordinating, producing and/or maintaining creative communications content in a fast-paced corporate communications, media or marketing environmentExperience managing or collaborating on major digital initiatives, including social media and content strategy, website redesign, intranet management, as well as digital signage and e-newslettersUnderstanding of user experience design, wireframes and website build best practices considered an assetExcellent written communications and editing skillsExperience in video production and editingExpertise in digital issues managementKnowledge of and previous experience using analytic tools such as Google AnalyticsStrong oral communications skills to clearly communicate technical details between multiple parties with varied levels of technical understandingTeam player, sound judgment and self-directed individualStrong relationship builder who is a quick learner and able to think quickly on their feetExcellent interpersonal skills and high personal standards to deliver quality and strategic resultsCreative, professional, self-motivated and constantly looking to implement best practices in all areas of the communications fieldExcellent project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and changing prioritiesPrevious experience and/or understanding of the health care sector considered a definite assetPossesses a sense of personal responsibility for the overall success of the team, shares credit and recognizes people for their accomplishmentsPosition Location and TravelThe successful candidate will be primarily based out of the Mississauga Hospital site and will be required to travel among the three main sites of Trillium Health Partners The Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre.Notes to applicantsIf you do not see yourself fully reflected in every job requirement listed on this posting, we still encourage you to reach out and apply.
