Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Generalist to join our dynamic People & Culture team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the People & Culture department in various key functions, including HRIS management, employee communications, recruitment, payroll support, and compensation adjustments. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a thorough understanding of HR best practices. Make a Difference Maintain accurate and comprehensive employee records within the HRIS system (Dayforce). Participate in the full cycle of recruitment activities including supporting our Talent Acquisition Specialist with preparing job descriptions, sourcing, screening candidates, identifying candidate short lists and organizing interviews. Provide proactive and timely guidance to People Leaders on employee relations matters. Assist with employee onboarding, orientation and training. Prepare formal communications to employees related to HR matters. Backup for payroll as required. Draft general forms, letters and reports as necessary. Assist with the development, distribution and implementation of policies and procedures. Support organization-wide compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulations. Perform other duties as required. Showcase your Talents & Achievements Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field; working towards CPHR designation. Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on HRIS management, full-cycle recruitment, and payroll administration. Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employment standards (BC, AB, SK) Experience supporting a US employee base would be an asset. Proficiency in Dayforce and MS Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new HR technologies and systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and experience effectively engaging with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Commit to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established health, safety, and quality standards. Actively participate in safety initiatives, report potential hazards, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. A good sense of humour and strong admiration of all things Swayze (Patrick) is an asset.
