A Day in the Life of a Business Development Manager at RWC! Be part of designing your community! From the bustling downtown core all the way to Northern British Columbia and throughout our neighboring Western Canada Provinces, you will be championing business development initiatives in partnership with the Estimating Department. Our previous and current locations include Amazon HQ spanning 1 million sqft, YVR Pier D Expansion, University of British Columbia, New St. Pauls Hospital, Mills Memorial Hospital and many more! We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a roll up the sleeves attitude who will lead the expansion of RWC through a business acumen lens. Primary Responsibilities Lead and drive the expansion of our customer base, identify high-potential growth opportunities and execute strategic initiatives to scale market presence and revenue. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue, focusing on building a sustainable pipeline. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for expansion. Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives. Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with overall company goals. Leverage existing customer relationships to bring in new business and expand client networks. Utilize in-house CRM tools to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report on sales activities. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Provide regular reporting to management, delivering timely accurate insights on market trends, customer activities, and overall account performance. Identify, maximize, and close on sales and market development opportunities, ensuring consistent growth and profitability. Work effectively with internal support departments (Marketing, Inside Sales, Finance) to enrich customer experience Attend networking events, industry conferences, and meetings to enhance business connections and identify market trends. Represent the RWC brand with the highest level of professionalism at all times aligned with our core values. Skills and Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the construction industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies. Possess existing industry contacts and relationships. Strong understanding of the construction industry through a trade partner lens. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
