We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team on a contract basis, supporting midstream oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates, evaluating project risks, and working closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. Key Responsibilities: Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for midstream oil and gas projects, including pipelines, facilities, and infrastructure. Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and construction managers, to ensure comprehensive and accurate estimates. Analyze project scope, specifications, and technical drawings to determine materials, labor, and equipment costs. Review vendor and contractor proposals to validate cost assumptions. Identify and evaluate project risks, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Utilize estimating software and tools to maintain consistency and accuracy in cost assessments. Provide cost reports, variance analysis, and benchmarking to support decision-making. Assist in developing bid proposals and support contract negotiations. Maintain an up-to-date database of unit costs, historical estimates, and industry benchmarks. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in cost estimation within the oil and gas industry, specifically midstream projects. Strong knowledge of cost estimating principles, project controls, and risk analysis. Experience with estimating software (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Hard Dollar, Cleopatra, or similar tools). Familiarity with contracting strategies, procurement processes, and market pricing trends. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with midstream facility and pipeline project estimates. Knowledge of industry standards, cost databases, and benchmarking practices. Understanding of capital cost management, contracting models, and economic evaluations.
