Our Next Hire: Terrestrial Ecologist Full Time (Markham or Peterborough, ON) Our Ecologists are growing experts in their field, bringing technical and project coordination support to every project to help support their teams and clients success. We are seeking an early-career Terrestrial Ecologist: an aspiring technical professional who thrives in the field and in helping bring the pieces of a project together. Qualifications: Two to four years of experience consulting in terrestrial ecology, or equivalent industry experience; Experience with provincial and federal environmental regulatory procedures (environmental impact assessments/studies, due diligence studies, habitat restoration) and natural heritage policies in Ontario; Field experience with habitat management and/or habitat monitoring and wildlife surveys (e.g., amphibians, bats, birds), applying the Ecological Land Classification System, identifying most trees and flora common to southern and central Ontario; Experience managing critical information, data, and files; and Strong written and verbal communication. Additional Bonus Variables (Not required, but good to have): Arborist Certification; Ecological Land Classification (ELC) training; Ontario Wetland Evaluation (OWES) certification; Project Management Training.
