Job Description Airswift is seeking Cost Controller to work for a major Oil & Gas client on a 1-year contract with a huge possibility of being extended. This role will support their operations in Calgary, AB. We are seeking an Cost Controller to support the financial management of midstream oil and gas projects . In this role, you will be responsible for budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting , ensuring projects remain on budget and aligned with financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain cost control systems , ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting for midstream projects. Track and analyze actual vs. planned costs , identifying trends, risks, and variances. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost alignment with project progress. Prepare monthly cost reports and financial summaries for management review. Support the development of cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and contingency plans . Ensure compliance with financial controls, reporting standards, and company policies . Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and risk mitigation . Qualifications & Skills: 37 years of cost control experience, ideally in midstream oil & gas projects . Strong understanding of cost management principles, forecasting, and financial reporting . Proficiency in cost control software (e.g., SAP, Prism, EcoSys, or similar tools) . Experience working with EPC contracts, project accounting, and progress measurement . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment . Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
