The Opportunity The Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs is a dynamic role within Fidelity Canadas Corporate Affairs Team, whose mandate is to protect and promote Fidelitys reputation through research-driven, world-class communications to internal and external audiences. This diverse and inclusive team consists of professionals with experience in communications, public affairs, journalism, market research, social media and more. The environment is fast-paced similar to a newsroom where the team members are agile and produce timely, effective content for various audiences. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Affairs, the Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will: Lead an internal communications team - Internal communications is more important than ever in strengthening Fidelitys culture and community in todays hybrid and increasingly digital environment. The Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will lead an internal communications team and oversee company announcements, meetings, events, and communications channels, including Fidelitys internal social media and intranet platforms. Support external communications - Aligning internal communications with external communications ensures coherence and consistency in Fidelitys reputation. The Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will leverage internal communications and support positioning Fidelity as a top investment leader and top employer in Canada. Focus on the audience - Every high impact communication begins with understanding the audience well. The Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will focus on who their audiences are, what their needs and aspirations are and what would motivate them. Deliver best-in-class multimedia stories - Informed by research about the audience, the Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will deliver multimedia content that drive results. Content may include statements, talking points, press releases, speaking notes for executives, engaging internal emails and intranet posts, snappy social media soundbites and more. Learn, innovate and inspire - The world of communications is rapidly changing with constant breakthroughs in technology and best practices. The Manager, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs will learn from, and improve upon, every communication, proactively research ways to take communications to the next level, share ideas with colleagues and inspire others. Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry. Corporate communications experience in a highly regulated industry would be considered an asset.
