We deliver services to a wide range of clients including owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations, charities, social housing, and individuals, and pride ourselves on our ability to do so in a way that is both professional and personable.We are looking to add another Wealth Management Advisor to join the MAC Financial Services team in its continued growth and success, providing high calibre service to our clients in a way that is both professional and customized. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the TriCert Financial Group to educate and provide wealth management support and service that is accessible and insightful in a way that inspires long-term relationships and fosters loyalty.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial PlanningPrepare financial plans for clientsReview clients financial plan with MAC LLP Partner who has the relationship with the clientPresent financial plans to clients and offer to assist with implementationWhere agreed to with client, quarterback the implementation of clients financial planReview client progress vs. plan on a periodic basis, discuss with client, advise on changes and/or additional steps as identifiedManage Client RelationsDevelop and maintain a client relationship management systemMaintain regular contact with clients, reviewing progress vs. financial plan and, where applicable, suggesting financial plan work that has not been done recently or at allAddress client questions and concernsHost client education and client appreciation eventsStrategy and Business DevelopmentAssist to achieve annual operating plan which outlines the key action items designed to achieve the goals established for the year by the strategic planMeet regularly with MAC LLP Partners and staff to educate them on the Wealth Management offering and how and when to introduce to clientsAttract non-CPA-firm clients to the Wealth Management offeringIntroduce Wealth Management clients who are not MAC LLP clients to the FirmCommunicationCommunicate regularly and effectively with clients, Board of Directors, staff, TriCert staff, peers at other TriCert-member firms, and MAC LLP Partners and staffEnsure personal client information is protected in accordance with privacy rules and confidentiality standardsProfessional DevelopmentStay up-to-date and conversant with financial planning concepts and practicesAdhere to practice and ethical standards of Certified Financial Planners, the CPA profession and the organizations valuesRespect securities regulations, in particular not performing activities that must be performed by a person licensed by a securities regulatorParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the business, staff and clientsQualificationsCFP, QAFP, CFA or CIM designation requiredPost-secondary education, preferably in commerce, business or economics3-5 years experience in the financial services industry preferredExperience working as an Associate Advising Representative a major assetComputer software knowledge Word, Excel, financial planning software, client relationship managementGreat communication skills and a client-centric professional attitude required Why Work for MAC Financial Services?We value a sense of community built upon shared success, individual thought leadership, drive and enthusiasm for the work that has contributed to our growth and success for over thirty years.
