Job Description: The Regional Sales Manager''s mission is to set and achieve sales objectives for their territory and to be present in the market to implement all strategies to increase sales and our client''s reputation in the market. The candidate will manage the performance of the team by inspiring and coaching them. The incumbent must be honest, professional and passionate about flooring with a strong drive to grow sales across all categories and channels within their responsibility. The key to success in this role is to have excellent organizational skills, good time management and to demonstrate leadership with their team, internal and external customers. Responsibilities include managing the sales department in the designated territory and ensuring the presence and awareness of our client''s products in the marketplace, as well as managing the performance of the team and ensuring compliance with the company''s internal regulations. As a Regional Sales Manager, the incumbent possesses and exemplifies the Company''s core values. This role reports to the VP of Sales and Business Development for working conditions generally associated with an office environment. The work involves the use of the Google environment (Gmail, Drive, Calendar). The incumbent may also be required to travel within Canada. Primary duties include: Strategically deploy a regional sales development action plan, set and achieve sales goals, plan execution, market presence and implement strategies; Drive sales by being an expert in products, demonstrating full knowledge and passion for the diverse product categories, including their strategic pricing, benefits, and technical aspects; Ensure proper coverage of all areas through thorough territory analysis and effective resource allocation, making sure territories are appropriately divided and staffed; Ensure the presence and awareness of products in the market with an appropriate footprint (displays and samples) and a high level of satisfaction with the Company''s service to their B2B customers; Manage the presentation of products at builder selection centres while fostering strong relationships with builders and flooring contractors, ensuring diverse product offerings, growth and addressing product equivalencies; Promote awareness of Mapei installation systems and drive sales growth within this category through targeted strategies and initiatives; Know the implications of the Company''s actions in the marketplace and what customers are really trying to accomplish by selling the Company''s products; Forge trusted partnerships with B2B customers to increase the Company''s market share across business channels and territories for each category; Lead, inspire, and coach the team, including Residential and A&D Territory Managers, to challenge the status quo, enhance their sales behaviors, and increase sales; Provide guidance, advice, and support in their teams daily tasks while managing team performance through the use of our various tools including Keynelink to establish initiatives and goals and our business intelligence dashboard, address disciplinary matters, assess human resource needs, and participate in personnel selection; Support their team members in the field by visiting clients and helping solve their customers'' problems while generating value and increasing revenue; Exchange information on various updates and new product developments; Manage priorities and organize travel in an optimal way to have productive meetings with clients; Maintain close relationships and collaborate effectively with superiors, peers, employees, and all other stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities; Promote the use of the Company''s transactional website. Ensure that all company and HR policies and practices are communicated to team members and applied consistently; Meet and own deadlines to ensure the timely completion of tasks, projects and goals; Other related duties. Education and training: A college diploma is a requirement. Knowledge: Knowledge of sales principles; Up-to-date knowledge of current industry practices; Knowledge of business intelligence systems & tools (Tableau); Knowledge of Google Suite and experience working with customer relationship management software; Knowledge in the field of floor covering would is a must. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related experience in a Regional Sales Manager position; Experience aligning operational requirements with sales and residential/commercial strategy; Experience in B2B sales; Experience in the interior design, architecture, flooring industry is a valuable asset.
