Your new role In this role, you will lead high-profile projects, overseeing design direction, managing project teams, and ensuring seamless construction documentation and coordination. This role requires a well-rounded professional with expertise in design leadership, project management, and technical execution. The ideal candidate will balance creative vision, team leadership, and technical acumen, delivering exceptional outcomes for their clients while fostering the companys collaborative and client-focused culture. The successful candidate will have an inquisitive and rigorous design sense as well as an understanding of and experience with major institutional projects. You will have in-depth understanding of building systems, including the building envelope, understanding of and experience with sustainable design. The successful candidate will have experience and ability to manage a project team and coordinate consultants. You will have the ability to plan, direct, and execute a set of design, tender, and construction drawings and specifications as well as have a comprehensive contract administration experience including field reviews. What youll need to succeed The successful candidate for this role will be registered with the AIBC (or eligible for registration). Have a minimum 710 years of experience leading institutional projects (e.g., education, healthcare, civic sectors). The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong initiative and leadership abilities, an ability to manage multiple projects and mentor staff. You utilize your project management skills to achieve goals and meet deadlines as well as demonstrate sound judgment and communicate well with all stakeholders.
