Position: Finance Transformation Project Manager Location: Calgary, Alberta or Sarnia, Ontario Schedule: M-F, Professional Working Day, Hybrid Travel: 20% (Calgary, Sarnia, Pittsburgh) Contract: Dec 31. 2025 Introduction This role plays a pivotal part in delivering the early phases of a Finance Transformation initiative designed to enhance efficiency, leverage advanced technologies, and drive value creation within the finance function. The Finance Transformation Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across finance, IT, and other business functions to deliver strategic milestones and lay the foundation for long-term success. Responsibilities Transformation Execution Deliver key milestones for Phase 1 of the Finance Transformation roadmap, including process optimization and technology implementation. Drive measurable outcomes such as: 2030% reduction in month-end close time 1015% reduction in cost to serve 50% automation of manual processes Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with finance leadership, IT, and business leaders to align transformation initiatives with enterprise objectives. Engage cross-functional teams to secure buy-in and alignment on project priorities. Process & System Optimization Assess current processes, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable finance processes to improve operational performance. Collaborate with IT to deploy automation tools (e.g., RPA) and enhance ERP systems. Data & Analytics Development Build analytics capabilities to enhance decision-making and reporting. Establish KPIs and report regularly to leadership to ensure accountability and transparency. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). Proven experience leading finance transformation initiatives with measurable outcomes. Background in finance operations, project management, or transformation roles. Experience with business process outsourcing is a plus. Technical Knowledge Proficient in ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA). Familiarity with FPA/consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream). Hands-on experience with RPA technologies (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism). Understanding of advanced analytics platforms and process optimization methodologies.
