The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is seeking a leader to serve as its Senior Vice President of Engagement & Guest Experience. This newly created role will implement and drive revenue growth, inspire collaboration across the organization, aligning diverse teams and functions to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maximize APCs impact as a world-class destination. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior VP will oversee marketing, communications, sales, events, and guest services, uniting these functions under a cohesive strategy that enhances APCs brand and reputation while inspiring innovative guest engagement. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a centralized growth and revenue strategy across APCs guest engagement functions, aligning teams and fostering collaboration to achieve strategic goals. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through events, memberships, ticket sales, and corporate partnerships. Guide marketing and sales strategies to enhance member privileges, build APCs brand, and grow attendance for both new and returning visitors. Innovation & Creativity: Lead the team in exploring innovative marketing campaigns, promotional themes, and events that create unique, memorable guest experiences, inspiring repeat visits and deepening engagement. Operational Excellence: Oversee the development of annual plans for sales, events, and guest services, ensuring they align with APCs strategic objectives, achieve revenue targets, and deliver a seamless guest experience. Team Empowerment: Mentor and motivate directors and their teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Break down silos to ensure cohesive execution of initiatives across departments. Ambassadorship: Represent APC to corporate sponsors, tourism partners, and the broader community, fostering goodwill and building relationships that advance APCs mission and vision. Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage market research and analytics to guide decision-making, monitor performance, and refine strategies for maximum impact. The Ideal Experience and Background: You are a strategic thinker and creative problem-solver with a proven track record of leadership in marketing, communications, sales, events, or guest services. You thrive in collaborative environments, inspiring teams to deliver exceptional results while fostering innovation and inclusivity. At least 15 years of senior leadership experience, with experience in aligning strategies across marketing, sales, events, and public engagement. A demonstrated ability to grow revenue through data-driven insights, creative promotions, and innovative event strategies. Strong client relationship and negotiation skills, with experience managing corporate partnerships and leading through change. A passion for enhancing guest experiences and delivering world-class programming.
