Motivate team members to perform at a high level with a balanced and competitive remuneration package. The renumeration package is comprised of three key components: Fixed Remuneration Salary. Performance-Based Remuneration 10% of annual company profits are made available to employees based on individual performance. ABOUT Mine Closure Management: MCM is one of the Green Road group of companies, all which have common values and aspirations that provide simple, creative, and sustainable solutions to the resources industry. MCM, with support from other Green Road companies, provides practical mine closure solutions for the mining industry. Green Roads clients are predominantly based in North America, Australia, and New Zealand with projects throughout South Africa, South America, and South-East Asia. SPECIFIC DUTIES: The successful applicant, who will have closure experience with a multidisciplinary technical background, will be supporting the mine closure group in a range of projects and disciplines, from the soft science of establishing closure visions and plans to the technical work focused on closure design of tailings and waste rock storage facilities. Targeted preferred duties will include: Perform duties and responsibilities as a Senior (or Principal) company representative delivering closure support for our clients as required. Peer review company reports and other deliverables. Develop business opportunities for MCM with previous, current, and new clients. Develop proposals and provide deliverables to our clients that provide excellent client support on time and alignment with budget allocations. Support business development for MCM by attending conferences and presenting technical papers, which may require domestic and international travel. Travel for work related activities for domestic and international clients and related project work. Support and mentor Staff as required. Complete administrative responsibilities as required. Other duties as necessary to fulfil the role of a Senior (or Principal) Closure Consultant. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will: Have an undergraduate degree in engineering or geoscience foundation (pre-requisite) and preferably, a post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology/vadose, geochemistry, or engineering civil/geo/agri. Have 10 or more years relevant experience, preferably within the consulting sector and preferably working on closure plan development and the closure of tailings and mine rock storage facilities. Preferably be experienced in planning and executing field studies, including test pad / cover system construction, field monitoring system installations, management of field sampling and laboratory characterization programs. Have project management skills including management of project teams. Proficiency in numerical simulation software to support the development of mine closure strategies. Have well developed report writing skills. Be willing to travel to remote sites for project engagements and have a current drivers licence. Be someone that is curious by nature, loves learning new things, and is motivated to contribute to the closure of mine sites.
