Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Data migration)Company: BMO Financial GroupJob Type: Contract 6 monthsAbout the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial and regulatory environments, with expertise in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes. This role requires a disciplined approach to technology and governance, with the ability to manage technical debt and excel in data governance.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain business and technical applications (BMA and TMA).Implement and manage data governance across various regulatory bodies.Utilize Power Query and Power BI for data transformation and reporting.Unwind and refactor existing Excel-based code to integrate into a proper server and tech stack.Collaborate with financial teams and administrative staff to ensure disciplined and efficient operations.Work on Funergo implementation and other financial applications.Maintain strong backend knowledge, particularly in Java and full stack development.Ensure adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably in a financial or regulatory environment.Strong knowledge of AML and KYC processes.Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Power Query.Experience with Java and backend development.Familiarity with SDLC processes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred Skills:Experience with Fenergo or similar financial applications.Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance.Ability to manage technical debt and implement disciplined processes.
