This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Tegucigalpa, HondurasStart Date: February/March 2025Placement Length: 6 months with the possibility of extensionLanguage Requirements: Spanish Level 4-Advanced and English Level 3-IntermediatePlease submit a Spanish Resume and Statement of InterestEligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada onlyThe Volunteers Role As a gender advisor, you will work with Centro de Derechos Para la Mujer (CDM) to help create both community and institutional gender policies.As a volunteer, you will: Analyse and review the Draft Institutional Diagnosis Analyse and revise the Draft Institutional Policy of Gender and the Institutional Strategic Plan in order to align normative instruments. Do the elaboration of a Training Plan aimed at the communities and the organisation''s staff. Essential Requirements:University degree in social, economics, international development and/or equivalent experience in a related field.Essential Background: Knowledge/experience on Gender Equality, Knowledge/experience on planning, administration processes, planning, strategy design, Previous experience in planning processes, Knowledge/experience in research teaching, training and/or facilitation processes, Knowledge/experience applying participatory approaches and tools, Demonstrated experience of working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team. SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, with a view to contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canadas Feminist International Assistance Policy.
