Reporting to the General Manager, the Anaphylaxis Launch Manager is responsible for overseeing, driving and coordinating all aspects of a new product launch in the Canadian Market. As a strategic partner, you will work closely with the General Manager and cross-functional members of the North American teams to execute pre and post launch activities and ensure successful market entry and adoption. Post-launch, there will be an opportunity to continue in a strategic advisory role to continue growing ALK Canadas business, and preparing the market for future products. Responsibilities Launch Planning Develop the short-term and long-term ambition for new products. Calculate the full potential for the relevant market Work closely with the Canadian team to guide the development and the execution of a comprehensive strategy and launch plan for a new pharmaceutical product. Working alongside local and global Market Access to optimize price and reduce time to reimbursement across public and private payers; includes guidance on, and contribution to, reimbursement dossiers, health economic models, budget impact analyses, and value propositions. Support the medical and public affairs teams to engage stakeholders such as KOLs, patient advocacy organizations, payers, and others to create alignment around the value story and unmet need for the new pharmaceutical product Work with Marketing to design and conduct market research to uncover insights at the HCP and the patient levels to ensure optimized positioning and messaging Work with sales to analyze prescriber data and support targeting exercises and reach and frequency objectives Working together with marketing, develop a direct-to-consumer strategy to maximize awareness and minimize barriers to accessing the product Project Management Drive the Launch Readiness Review process, collaborating closely with global and local internal stakeholders, and manage timelines for milestone reviews Monitor, and take accountability for meeting pre-launch and post-launch KPIs Act as the central point of contact among all parties with responsibilities associated with the product launch (Product Supply, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access) and coordinate task reviews. Identify any launch-related risks and issues early in the process and help to identify contingency plans to solve problems and mitigate disruptions to the plan. Develop and maintain the pre-launch and post-launch project plan, identifying milestones and dependencies to ensure minimal time between approval, launch and full reimbursement Qualifications Experience: 5 years of pharmaceutical management in a Canadian context Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, reimbursement processes, pricing, and how to shepherd new pharmaceutical products through these processes Strong communication skills guiding the establishment and implementation of a compressed, pre-launch market shaping strategy Support and guidance on market access initiatives towards public and private payers, to maximize coverage at launch and minimize post-launch coverage delays Close collaboration with sales and marketing teams to build the brand strategy and pull it through with the Key Account Manager team. Knowledge of Canadian regulatory and compliance requirements, to ensure the launch adheres to Health Canada Guidelines, Innovative Medicines Canada guidelines and provincial legal frameworks Knowledge of the supply chain requirements for new pharmaceutical products that are imported from a US manufacturer, including packaging, and language requirements Experience working with a 3PL for storage of pharmaceutical products and supply processes with wholesalers Knowledge of the role of samples and/or demonstration devices in driving product adoption, and an understanding of strategies around sample/demo supply and management early in a product launch IT experience including user-experience with the Microsoft Office programs and emerging Artificial Intelligence capabilities is a prerequisite Additional Preferred Attributes: Business acumen Strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, and a broad understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical industry and the new product launch process Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
