The Opportunity We are looking for a highly organized self-starter to join our Family Office Solutions team as an Associate Consultant. Their responsibilities will focus on supporting a Senior Consultant and coordinating and guiding the teams Family Office Associates. The successful candidate will be interested in pursuing a long-term career providing advice to affluent families in the areas of reporting, cash flow management, financial administration as well as accounting and tax compliance support. In this role, the Associate Consultant will also work in collaboration with Prime Quadrants Investment Consulting, Operations and Compliance teams. Required Qualifications CPA designation A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the accounting services industry Comprehensive experience in the taxation of individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts Strong knowledge and experience with investment accounting Strong understanding of financial statements and related bookkeeping Strong Microsoft Office fluency (Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams) Experience working with accounting software packages (e.g., Sage50, QuickBooks) Prioritized Qualifications Experience working in a mid-size to large accounting firm Completion of continuing professional development in tax (e.g., CPA tax courses, In Depth Tax Program) Experience with various forms of legal entities, including corporations, trusts and partnerships Key Attributes Enjoys working as part of a team High degree of accuracy and organization Strong detail orientation with a keen sense for thorough documentation Excellent verbal and written English communication and listening skills Able to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment Strong process-orientation and ability to follow through on commitments Adaptable and flexible to work as needed by clients Ability to handle complex issues and escalate as needed with a sense of urgency Proven client service orientation you get energy from helping people Intellectual curiosity Potential to lead client relationships over time Primary Responsibilities Client Relationships Support a Senior Consultant on relationship management for existing client families Create, review and/or present materials for client meetings Assist a Senior Consultant to identify and advance client family priorities beyond their existing services Financial Reporting Coordinate with internal team members to ensure all client reporting is presented accurately Review bookkeeping to ensuring accuracy of transactions and reconciliation of inter-entity accounts Coordinate preparation and distribution of client reporting for cashflows, financial and investment needs Cash Flow Management Review account reconciliations and pro forma cash flow estimates Oversee the coordination of cash transfers and investment funding requirements with private bankers Financial Administration Support team members to interpret third party statements and legal documents Review and support new bank and investment account openings, credit reviews and insurance applications Oversee vendor payments and Canada Revenue Agency remittances Tax Compliance Support Support the compilation and review of tax documents and schedules, including annual reconciliations of tax slips to client family general ledgers Coordinate annual tax filings with client families tax advisors by providing supporting documents, responding to inquiries, and reviewing draft filings Provide support for Canada Revenue Agency audit and assessment reviews Compensation Industry competitive base salary with a performance-based bonus structure Health benefits via participation in the firms health spending account Entitled to receive awards under the firms Key Exemplary Employees Plan as per its terms and conditions Reimbursement of annual CPA professional dues Up to $1,000 per annum relevant continuing education expense Career advancement with demonstrated performance 3 weeks vacation per annum Please provide cover letter with resume.
