What is critical for them is the person must have work experience with a metal forming company. They would prefer if you have some experience with welding processes. To attract the best candidates, my client is offering a competitive pay rate ($120,000 - $140,000 / year) with an attractive bonus, 3 weeks of vacation and a good benefits program. This role is 100% on site. Minimum Requirements Having a degree or diploma in mechanical or industrial engineering. Education in Operations Manager will be considered as well. Several years of experience as a Plant or Operations Manager in a facility that has metal forming processes with a preference for someone who has experience with welding To be on the shop floor for at least 80% of the workday Work with the production supervisors to strengthen their managerial skills Experience leading continuous improvement projects using LEAN methodology Experience with the Ontario Health and Safety Act Responsibilities Provides leadership and mentorship to a team of 40 direct and indirect staff Ensures quality products are manufactured and on time Ensures production deadlines are met Works with other groups in the plant (ie.
