The Role Our editorial team at Wise Publishing is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Content Editor to work with our SEO team to ensure our pages remain current, relevant and comprehensive. Reporting to the Senior Editor of Moneywise.com, youll work closely with the SEO and Editorial teams to produce and assign SEO content covering US-based financial topics, primarily investing and alternative investing content. Our ideal candidate is motivated, with a knack for research and an ability to stay on top of key trends to ensure our pages engage, inform and empower our audience better than our competition. Since our readers trust our content to inform major financial decisions, accuracy and critical thinking are paramount. The Content Editor will be expected to find the best possible sources and determine how best to enrich each page they take on and make creative changes that can be done at scale. Responsibilities (What Youll Do): Regularly monitor top pages and competitor/provider pages for changes, keeping our pages up to date. Review and update Content Briefs for freelancers, ensuring alignment with user intent. Assign content briefs to freelancers via freelancer management software, tracking availability, cost, and workload accurately. Edit content, providing guidance and feedback to freelance writers. Ensure content consistency with desired tone, style, intent, and brand guidelines. Write new sections, paragraphs, and content on existing pages, ensuring relevance and accuracy. Ensure figures, data points and facts on page are accurate. Update SEO elements such as Schema, internal links, title tags, and meta descriptions based on best practices. Create high-quality, complete pages on various topics, optimized for SEO. Stay updated on fintech trends to generate new content ideas and update existing content. What You'll Bring: 2+ years of experience in content writing and editing, preferably in the fintech or financial industry. Strong experience writing and editing. Experience working with SEO teams is a plus. Experience with commercial content for the purpose of organic growth (ex. 'best ofs', reviews, comparisons, etc.) Knowledge of U.S. finance topics such as investing and alternative investing is a plus. Bonus if you have experience with other financial topics such as banking, credit cards, etc. Strong technical abilities including the ability to learn new software programs quickly. No formal education or certifications required, but editing and research skills will be assessed.
