Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment.Were based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 16 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.We are currently looking for a full-time Marketing Segment Manager Packaging located in Vaughan, reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management. Position SummaryThe Spicers Marketing team is growing as we look toward an exciting future, and were on the hunt for a creative, strategic, and results-driven Marketing Segment Manager to lead the charge in our expanding Packaging segment. In this pivotal role, youll define and implement a comprehensive national marketing strategy to drive growth and innovation in this key area of our business.As the Marketing Segment Manager - Packaging, youll be instrumental in shaping the future of our packaging initiatives, working with top-tier brands across Canada, and collaborating with a dynamic sales and marketing team to execute impactful marketing campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in an energetic, forward-thinking environment where your creativity and leadership will directly influence the growth of the business.ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management, the duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Segment Manager Packaging include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive growth in the Packaging segment, aligning with Spicers business goals.Collaborate with management and local teams to identify market needs, generate insights, and drive creative marketing initiatives.Create and manage comprehensive marketing plans across digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Work closely with sales teams to support growth, enhance product positioning, and deliver impactful campaigns.Support the development of the companys eCommerce strategy to drive online revenue and improve digital engagement.Approve all Packaging marketing content and ensure brand consistency and adherence to company standards.Attend and support logistics for events, workshops, and sales meetings, ensuring seamless execution and effective promotionAnalyze marketing performance metrics, report on ROI, and optimize campaigns to drive results.Qualifications5+ years of marketing management experienceIndustry knowledge in industrial supplies and packaging, with an understanding of the market landscape including products, applications and industry trends.Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and leverage data (market research, consumer insights, financials) to make informed decisions.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage internal teams, senior management, and external partners.Ability to make effective, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output and consistency across all marketing materials and initiatives.Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.Familiar with tools like Microsoft 365, Monday.com, Microsoft/Salesforce CRM, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress.
