The team that brought KidStrong to Ontario is onto their second location!We started our journey a little over a year ago in Burlington --as a leader to help us grow Vaughan into the next amazing Ontario centre!KidStrong Program Directors are the leaders of the centre it is the responsibility of the Program Director to foster a culture of learning and development for both their Coaches and the members. The Program Director is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members. The goal of the Program Director is to develop and train their coaching team, build the culture of their center through interacting with families and managing center operations, and ensuring amazing classes are being delivered.RESPONSIBILITIES:CENTER OPERATIONSUnderstand the centers key KPIs and financials in order to make informed and responsible business decisions.Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service.Oversee center level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, training, brand consistency etc.Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center; quarterly support with upkeep of other centers in the KidStrong portfolio.Delegate center tasks amongst the center team to ensure consistent execution.Manage center level employee issues and manage appropriate documentation.Typical schedule includes 4 weekday and 1 weekend shifts with specific hours dependent on the needs of the center.Set and communicate Coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.Schedule, sell, and staff KidStrong events, such as Camps and Parties, to maximize center profitability.SalesDrive membership sales through high-volume outbound phone calls on inbound leadsDrive sales through booking of birthday parties, camps, and other centre-based eventsProperly manages and exceeds all KidStrong sales and operational budgetsRespond and follow through in a timely manner with all KidStrong corporate/owner requests and client/ lead requestsLEADERSHIPFoster a supportive coaching culture.Continuously assess and document Coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality.Achieve all Certifications required by KidStrong HQ per your role and responsibilities.Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train and evaluate coaching candidates.Monitor and ensure staffing levels are met while continually recruiting future talent.Ensure candidates complete all paperwork to be in compliance with company policy and law.Lead training practicals for new coaching candidates.Lead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluations.Ensure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 model.Develop coaches through formal feedback sessions on a weekly basis.Manage and support ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.Attend HQ programming rollout calls to learn ensuing programming.Summarize programming learning objectives and present to coaching team.Attend HQ Nation training/update calls.Attend weekly leadership meeting with leadership team/Area Developer.COACHINGCoach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages ranging from 14 months - 11 years-old approximately as required by business demands.Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.Hire, train, and develop a team of exceptional Coaches.Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.Drive sales through thorough lead management and trial conversion in the center.Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.Understand the why behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.Must be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.Lead monthly center staff meetings focused on culture, development, product, and performance.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSPassion for working with children is non-negotiableAthletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 14 months - 11 years oldComfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding variety of topicsPrior experience in pediatrics is a plus, but not requiredPrevious experience in management is preferred but not requiredPractical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.Previous experience with systems and platforms such as Glofox, LearnUpon, Indeed, Homebase, HubSpot, is preferred but not requiredPrior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum is preferredIntermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanicsCPR certifiedSelf-starter who just gets the job doneEnjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching, and mentoringSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will supervise all Coaches and additional support personnel. The Program Director will be a leader and mentor so communication and interpersonal skills are important.
