Provide training and support to first aid teamsInvestigate safety incidents, recommend corrective actions, and track improvements. Report critical incidents to the Director of SafetyAssist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct regular reviews to ensure ongoing complianceProvide guidance to business unit safety representatives to take ownership of initiatives, acting as a mentor to foster growth and developmentEnsure safety best practices align with company goals and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the safety programManage and support multiple business units within the safety portfolio, making a tangible impact on the safety culture and delivering on mitigating riskWHAT WERE LOOKING FOR IN A HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER:Post Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field. Professional designation (e.g., CRSP, CHSC) would be of benefit, but not required.5+ years of progressive health and safety experience in the manufacturing sector.
