Azur Technology Salesforce Tech Lead Insurtech Remote - Canada - Eastern Time Zone (Ontario or Quebec) Reporting to: Chief Architect Salary Range: CAD$135-150,000 depending on level and experience plus bonus and benefits Azur Technology is at the forefront of digitising the insurance sector, working with some of the biggest names in the business to bring innovative and exciting products to market. Were not your typical consultants, we work closely with our clients as an embedded product team, developing long-lasting and trusted partnerships. We're currently 80+ people strong and we have clear plans to scale the business. We play in the Salesforce stack. We configure where can, but if we need to build Lightning Component or Heroku apps to drive revenues, we do. Whatever we do, we want to do it better. We are now looking for hands on detailed Senior Salesforce Tech Lead to help us significantly reduce time to market of the insurance products we build. Youre excited about the prospect of working with different products and people Responsibilities: The Senior Salesforce Tech Lead will lead project teams, working with product managers and client teams to build digital insurance products using Salesforce/Omnistudio. The patterns for building the product will closely follow the Omnistudio product patterns and also leverage Azurs architecture knowledge and experiences building multiple insurance products. Depending on your level and experience the main responsibilities of the role are outlined below: Own the overall solution for a project, utilising standard patterns where possible. Attend client facing refinement calls to provide a technical viewpoint and build trust with the client. Working with our Client Product Managers (CPM) and the client to look for simpler technical solutions. Providing technical expertise and articulating solutions with the CPM and Client. Documenting low level detailed designs on ticket. Manage the development team, balancing the teams experience and expertise to ensure an efficient use of the team. Keep a focus on re-usability across products on a client. Provide high level estimates on stories/features to feed into the overall plan/roadmap. Working with the CPM to ensure we meet timelines and stick to the plan for ontime delivery. Running daily standups and help removing blockers for the team leading to successful delivery of sprint. Organising and overseeing release management. PR reviews - ensuring code quality and adherence to the high level design. Cascade and adhere to best coding and security practices amount the development team. Provide mentorship to the development team. Troubleshoot issues for colleagues and help improve the design/build/release patterns. Responding to questions from other developers across the engineering team. Ability to take away technical questions and get back with deliverable solutions / answers. Understanding estimations in design can translate differently during development due to the nature of Salesforce / OmniStudio. Required: Key Skills and Experience Proven Tech Lead experience building leading edge solutions working with both on and offshore resources. Hands on Salesforce development experience, ideally 5+ years. (Knowledge of Apex, Lightning, Communities, Declarative & Custom solutions). Deep understanding of Salesforce customisation tools and declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder). Experience working with Salesforce Coding Conventions and Standards. The person should have good software engineering maturity and ideally be able to leverage the low code OmniStuido / Vlocity techniques. They should be good problem solvers and be able to lead by example. Experience with Salesforce DevOps practices and CI/CD tools is a plus. Strong experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations (REST/SOAP). Knowledge and experience working with FSC highly advantageous. Experience working in agile project methodologies. Specific Vlocity/OmniStudio development experience a bonus. Insurance industry experience highly advantageous. Ideal to have full cycle Salesforce implementation experience. Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Ability to lead by example and mentor and develop other team members. Effective communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Have experience working with external clients. Experience leading a team of developers in an end-to-end project. Strong professional communication skills, written and oral.
