We are currently seeking a mature individual to join on of our largest home building materials clients'' team as a full-time SR Estimator/Sales Coordinator The SR Estimator/Sales Coordinator plays a significant role in cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with our valued builders, developers and contractors. Receiving plans/blueprints and providing accurate take-offs with both pricing the project and coordinating procurement. Communicating timelines with builders expectations, with extreme attention to detail and ensuring logistics for the project are above and beyond expectation where possible. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sales: Perform all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy. Communicate special orders for non-stock or out of stock items. Be familiar with and maintain up to date information on pricing types. Prepare quotations, place special orders for customers. Provide solutions to customers concerns. Respond to formal complaints to maintain customer loyalty at the highest possible level. Maintain community relations to build and enhance the image of Home Hardware Building Centre. SR Estimator Communicate with builders and receive plans, provide quotes and engineered designs through collaboration with respective design teams (roof, floor, B.C.I.N) Identify opportunities, promote quality innovative building components/systems Manage the project and expectations by communicating clear timelines, lead times, special order materials Communicate with customers to ensure they receive prompt accurate and competitive pricing Assess the impact of the change orders Create, maintain in accurate detail all project documentation and ensure all materials are accurately received and properly invoiced. General: Maintain professional confidentiality of all store and customer records. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as supporting pro sales team as required. Attend store meetings, training sessions, etc. as required. Work on additional duties, special projects and assignments as assigned by management or Ownership. Always maintain professional demeanour and behave in a manner befitting company policy and expectations. Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation; while using strong common sense and reporting any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelors degree in business, engineering, drafting or equivalent preferred. 10 years in building materials/construction or manufacturing of building supplies. 4 years of building supply sales/estimating Proficient in various estimating software and working knowledge of Profit Master, Seljak/Blue beam is considered an asset. Strong planning and project management skills Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up on projects with extreme detail. Knowledge of market trends and competition in the industry. Experience in other building supply organizations an asset. Proven ability to win the respect of our customers and stake holders Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proven ability to evolve with the constant change of building codes and technology Ability to work flexible hours. Willingness to learn and continually develop professional skills and knowledge base. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
