About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior IT Support Analyst to be a part of a new plant start-up based in Port Colborne, ON. The primary responsibility of this position is to install, modify and make repairs to hardware and software systems and providing technical assistance and training to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This will include solving incidents reported by users, internal IT colleagues or by system alerts, as well as local or global project work. All incidents and requests to be tracked in ITSM system. You will also be the IT liaison on site to assist with planning and execution of IT needs for this new plant location under construction. You will train and guide future IT support staff at this location. Support remote locations as assigned.Take a lead role in the planning and execution of the IT environment with coordination of International IT management.Prioritize incoming incidents, requests, problems, and tasks to give realistic and reliable dates to requestor.Analyze, monitor, and resolve those incidents, requests, problems, and tasks.Escalate when required to appropriate global group or external vendor/customer.Track all steps through to final resolution in the ITSM system for traceability.Document resolution in knowledge base when relevant.Follow up and confirm provided resolution with requestor. The final work environment will be at a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This position is in support of manufacturing and requires working in a production environment around chemicals. The manufacturing facility will be a state of the art in terms of automation and being temperature and humidity controlled. This will be a clean and comfortable environment due to the nature of the products being produced.
