Competitive salary, with overtime availableExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the companyTool allowanceUniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear providedRRSP MatchSafety-minded organizationStable, year-round employmentContinuous training, learning and development opportunitiesFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibilityWhat Youll Be DoingDuties and Responsibilities:Install, troubleshoot, service and perform repairs on construction heaters & related heating equipment both in the shop and on customer job sitesTest, replace or certify defective equipment under 400, 000 BTUPerform annual inspections, service & repairs on construction heatersAdvise clients on safety features and maintenance of gas unitsAccurately and thoroughly document all service and repair informationComplete daily hazard assessment(s) on-site and/or in the shopComplete a daily circle check on forklift and/or service truck (when utilized)Deliver/pick-up small equipment from site as requiredAssist with loading/unloading equipment as requiredProvide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customersAdhere to all company health and safety policiesWhat Youll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Class B gasfitterMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience; ideally working with temporary construction heatersMust have knowledge of temporary heaters; direct and indirect fired, hydronic, electrical etc. (additional training will be provided)Strong knowledge of the safety regulations, codes and practices regarding LP/NG use, equipment servicing, permitting and installation at construction sitesAbility to read/understand building and mechanical plans, job specifications and other technical documents is an assetStrong communication and problem solving skillsValid class 5 drivers license and satisfactory abstract (no more than 3 demerit points)Must have complete set of tools (or be in the process of acquiring a complete set of tools)Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environmentSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervisionPride in what you do!Want to learn more about this as well as other opportunities at Cooper?
