Our integrated network with TFI International is driven by the power of over 80 operating companies and more than 17,100 employees working alongside independent contractors each with rich industry experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch personnel according to written schedules and work orders, or as required by emergency situationsMaintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might haveMaintain contact with customers, booking loads according to availability.The PositionSchedule loads based on safety, customer service, and load efficiencyEnsure optimal truck utilization and maintain KPI targetsEnsure communication of accurate information to drivers, such as: load information, equipment and HOSRespond to customer or drivers email and phone calls to resolve issues in a timely mannerMonitor and communicate driver progress on pickup and delivery through total mail and TMW, work with CSRConfirm accuracy of driver pay by ensuring routing and accessorial pay information is entered timely into the appropriate fields in TMWEnsure that drivers are handing paperwork in to office within 24 hours of deliveryEnsure drivers are performing responsibilities in a safe, reliable and professional mannerRotate weekend on call , work late when customer demands need to be metAct as a point of contact for any and all items or issues that may arise for a driver in your terminalOther duties as requiredRequirements:2+ years experience in the transportation industry would be considered an assetPrevious experience in a dispatch position is preferredGood knowledge of the GTA areaDegree or Diploma in a related field or equivalent work experienceExcellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenStrong computer, organizational and analytical skillsExperience with TMW and PeopleNet is an assetAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentA strong aptitude for math, problem-solving and auditingWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryComprehensive benefits planEmployer-matched RRSP contribution planEmployer Assistance ProgramPaid vacationExposure to a massive industry and company with endless opportunities for career development and progression across Canada and the USToronto Tank Lines is an equal opportunity employer.
