Job Purpose The Site Supervisor is directly responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction job site, ensuring the project is completed safely, efficiently, and according to drawings, specifications, and timeline. The Site Supervisor will work with the Project Manager & team to deliver technically challenging ICI new builds and government projects. Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction site operations, including coordinating work activities, managing resources, resolving issues, enforcing COR safety protocols, and ensuring quality standards are met. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and schedule subcontractors'' daily on-site activities to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a 2-week look ahead schedule by developing, reviewing, adjusting, and communicating a detailed schedule to optimize workflow and maintain project timelines in coordination with project managers and stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections, implement control measures, collaborate with subcontractors, and maintain documentation to ensure quality and materials meet project specifications and quality standards. Ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting on daily report templates on Site Docs, project progress, including schedules, work progress, production, and other relevant reports. Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety on the construction site. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety protocols and best practices. Provide or arrange training for workers in job duties, safety procedures, and COR company policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Monitor site safety, ensure that everyone on site adheres to all Zgemi & COR health and safety standards, and report issues. Promptly address unforeseen issues or challenges during construction, such as material shortages, design/blueprint discrepancies, or site constraints. Review change orders and assess, coordinate, prepare documentation, obtain approval, and implement changes to project scope, schedule, budget, and resources in alignment with project objectives. Maintain a clean construction site and perform handy work when needed to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall project quality. Perform other duties as required. Working Conditions Site Trailer/fieldwork in a fast-paced environment with variable working hours depending on project requirements. Site Supervisors are exposed to various weather conditions, noise, dust, and other potential hazards. They are expected to follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Depending on each project''s scope, the Site Supervisor may be required to travel to different project sites or attend meetings with stakeholders in various locations. May face pressure to meet milestones, resolve issues, and ensure project progress within the allocated timeframe. Qualifications & Skills Required Seven years of Canadian experience in the construction field, preferably in new build, ICI or government projects. A background in engineering or trades is highly advantageous. Strong organizational skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet project deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to pinpoint subcontractors'' workmanship and finished quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for effective coordination and collaboration with project stakeholders, team members, and contractors. The ability to convey information, listen actively, and resolve conflicts diplomatically. Ability to analyze information and problems, identify viable solutions, and make timely decisions. Evaluate options and make sound judgments to handle complex project situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
