Tridyne Projects offers an ideal environment for those looking to develop and expand their career ambitions.PRIMARY ROLEThe primary role of the Intermediate Instrumentation Technologist is:Working closely, and under the guidance of Senior Instrumentation Technologist and the EIC Department ManagerResponsible for the instrumentation component of assigned projects, including performing calculations for specification of instrumentation for integration into the project design.Determine adjustments and changes while following standards and regulations as well as established project specific guidelines for instrumentation projects.RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY TASKSMaintain instrumentation documents such as instrument index and datasheets.Participate in P&ID review, HAZOP, and model reviews.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical/design issues.Assist in sizing, specification and selection of: temperature/pressure instruments, valves and flow metersProvide quality solutions quickly and efficientlyTravel out of town for short periods of time on assignments, when necessaryACCOUNTABILITIESMeeting deadlines on time within the highly demanding, fast-paced oil & gas environment.Ensuring timely completion of project goals within budget and in accordance with quality standards and customer needs and expectations.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.Professional communication with clients, peers and contractors.Continual development of industry related technical knowledge and credibility.Maintain and develop up to date knowledge of all codes, standards and regulations pertinent to disciplinePromote safe and healthy work place.Promote health and safety awareness.Identify, investigate and correct unsafe practices.Complies with and enforces standards and procedures of Occupational Health & Safety RegulationsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSPost-Secondary Education / Designation -P.Eng or equivalent registered in Alberta with APEGATwo year Diploma in InstrumentationSupplementary Educational NeedsCAD training from a recognized institutionEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS5 -7 years work experience in instrumentation used in oil and gas industry projects.Ability to function in a high-demand and fast paced environmentGood experience with AutoCAD, both 2D and 3D, an assetAbility to read and interpret P&IDsExperience with industry related analysis and design softwareKNOWLEDGE BASE REQUIREMENTSUnderstanding of processes common in the oil and gas industryKnowledge of other disciplines and the interface requirementsProficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ProjectComplies with and enforces standards and procedures of Tridyne Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health & Safety RegulationsInterested in working at Tridyne Projects Inc.?
