We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe purpose of the Cost Analysis position is to perform cost accounting duties including internal reporting, cost center accounting and project costing as well as produce financial analysis as requested.The incumbent would assist the Director of Finance and Controlling in performing various tasks within the controlling function.NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITIONThe position will problem-solve with all PWO personnel, customers, and vendors when documentation clarification is required.The incumbent must be able to prioritize and organize work, especially at month and year-ends.External contacts may include customers, bank personnel, and financial auditors.Major challenges include finding information that is the responsibility of other departments (i.e. Sales, Quality Services, Maintenance, Logistics, Shipping and Receiving).Decisions made by the position impact the department in the short term.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: A post secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent program is required. Professional accounting designation is an asset. Knowledge and Skills: The position must have strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP system.Solid knowledge of efficient data processing and reporting is required. Considerable knowledge of accounting practices is necessary.Good organizational and interpersonal skills are required in order to balance multiple priorities and problem-solve issues with accounting, management, project management and sales departments as well as the parent company.Communication Skills:Strong oral and written communication skills are required for normal business and technical communication. Nature and Length of Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience in a similar position, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment.RESPONSIBILITIESControllingMaintain cost center accounting by insuring proper allocation of costs to cost centers.Prepare and report monthly closing for cost centers.Maintain Cost Center structure and provide analysis.Develop and maintain standard machine, labour and overhead hourly rates. Support customer RFQ process as required.Internal ControlsFollow PWO Group directions to formulate policies and procedures to establish and improve internal controls at PWO CA. Oversee internal control environment at PWO CA by documenting, assessing and monitoring internal control framework. Lead non-conformance corrective action plan resulting from internal audits.Risk ManagementCoordinate the systematic and timely identification, assessment, management, communication of risks and chances by the risk owners as part of annual business budgeting and forecasting process. Prepare and deliver Risk Reports based on annual budget and adjusted for following forecasts.OtherSupport business budgeting and forecasting process. Prepare budget-to-actual reports for tooling projects as required.Support with reports and analysis for Monthly Reports Meetings.Support with collection of SRED hours and annual SRED return.Prepare documentation for customer audits.Prepares various other internal reports as required. Responds to all auditor requests for information during all audit periods as required.Assists SAP systems users with any problems as required.
