HAYS Manufacturing is recruiting for a Manufacturing & Maintenance Shop Manager for a leading company in the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry. This role involves overseeing all processes, policies, and personnel in the Manufacturing, Planning, and Repair Shops.Your ResponsibilitiesManage manufacturing in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations & Standards, setting goals and objectives for the team.Plan and coordinate operations, programs, and services, while monitoring their effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance.Identify and address problems and non-compliance, communicate regularly with staff, and maintain necessary reports and documentation.Build relationships with staff and external parties, communicate effectively, and participate in decision-making.Delegate tasks, monitor staff leave, and handle disciplinary actions.Provide technical assistance and ensure consistent training, maintain confidentiality, complete accurate documentation, and develop KPIs.As a leader, set goals, provide feedback, evaluate performance, and motivate staff.Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and develop business cases for necessary assets.Your QualificationsPost-secondary education in Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related field.A minimum of 7+ years of leadership experience in a Manufacturing or Aviation setting.4+ years of experience in budget and resource management.5+ years of leadership and team orientation experience.Working knowledge of Transport Canada regulations.Technical training in one or more shop disciplines.Continuous improvement mindset.Your SalaryThe salary range is $100,000 - $123,000, plus company benefits. The higher end of the range is reserved for candidates with a P.Eng. designation, management experience, and relevant industry experience.
