Job Description

Primary Scope of Role :Perform Quality Control testing within the Laboratory and in the fieldConduct tests on Hot Mix Asphalt, Concrete, & or Aggregates is conducted as per applicable specifications, maintain the progress of field work until completion while recording relevant data and observations.Carryout sampling, proper labelling, and delivery of paving materials, such as loose mix asphalt, tack coat, PGAC and granular materials for quality control and quality assurance laboratory testing.Test compaction of asphalt and granular materials.Assist the Laboratory Manager in maintaining all documentation such as, equipment inventories, equipment verifications & calibrations.Monitor and improve procedures and implement them accordingly for QC processes.Position Requirements:Civil Engineering Technician / Technology diploma considered as an asset.Drivers LicenseMust possess a minimum of G2 class drivers license, have a clean drivers abstract; and own means of transportation to get to work.Good written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational & time management skills.Flexible schedule, with the ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.Ability to lift and carry equipment & samples up to 50lbs.Results-driven with a focus on delivering success in a fast-paced environment.Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.Superb communication and interpersonal skills.Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challengesAbout UsOur PeopleAt Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP), our people are second to none.
