Role:This position is responsible for helping the customer succeed while achieving specific team and individual sales and profit goals set by the company. Individuals in this position will provide an exceptional level of business to business (B2B) sales consultation, account management, customer service, and innovative solutions that differentiate Sysco in the marketplace. This role is responsible for the account management and growth of independent sales with a territory size between $4-6 million in annual sales.Role Responsibilities:Articulate and demonstrate the Sysco value proposition to engage and onboard new customers to Sysco products, services, and promotions using consultative selling methodsResponsible for Strategic Account Planning, developing new business, growing account portfolio, and retaining customer accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territoryEvaluate customer business needs and analyze market trends to develop customer centric product and service solutionsBe informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services providedLeverage Sales technology and business resources to provide end to end sales consultative servicesCredit and Accounts Receivables managementUtilizes PMT & Deal Manager to support territory and market share growthOversight to pricing management and strategy for the territory Track activities and results, collaborate on opportunities, and champion the team selling process through use of Salesforce (Syscos CRM tool) Maybe required to work non-traditional hours, while also providing a level of individual autonomy to support and successfully meet customer needsComplies with Syscos Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):Minimum of 2 years experience in salesCompletion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience; CPSA designation is preferred Proven ability to cultivate relationships and grow salesStrong financial and business acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans Demonstrated skills in the area of consultative selling, networking and negotiationsBusiness and restaurant operations acumen to manage sophisticated customersStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and influence a variety of key stakeholdersAbility to express information in terms of profit and loss, food cost and expense ratioStrong communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teamsExcellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same timeAbility to learn the use of proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growthAbility to understand and manage compliance to contractsSolid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from dataProactive, self-directed, with the ability to structure a weekly schedule to be successfulProficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Valid drivers license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required.
