JOB STATEMENT:GCLP has an immediate need for a Business Development Representative to join our Canadian retail asset management team. As a member of this team, you will contribute to growing our business with new and existing clients and deliver industry leading service. Key facets of this role include supporting our senior sales team members with product and client support, building and executing sales campaigns, coupled with robust follow ups through meetings, phone calls and emails, as well as administrative functions relating to our CRM, webinars and coordination of key business activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManaging day-to-day client relationships, including outbound and inbound calls to clients as well as the collection of client and prospect details for the CRM;Coordinating territory events (conferences, Portfolio Manager luncheons/dinners, webinars, etc.);Working closely with senior sales team members to identify new opportunities, prepare and distribute client requests/materials;Participating in industry events to grow presence in the marketplace;Supporting the execution of a business plan, including development of strategies and campaigns to hit sales quotas;Assisting in the creation of and collaborating on digital campaigns; andPreparing and analyzing reports of key findings and opportunities.QUALIFICATIONPost-secondary degree (preferably with an orientation toward business, finance or communications)A minimum of 3 years of financial industry experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills (bilingual candidates an asset)Strong Salesforce (or other CRM) knowledge is an assetCompletion, or working towards, the CSC and/or CFA designation is an assetExtremely detail-orientatedGood organizational and time-management capabilitiesSelf-motivated and flexible with a willingness to advance professionallyCOMPENSATIONCommensurate with experience
