Job Description: Daily Operations Manager - Peniuk Farms Location: Sturgis, SK Farm Size: 8,000-acre grain operation Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and maintenance schedules. Manage and maintain precision agriculture equipment and machinery. Supervise and train farm staff, ensuring task delegation and safety compliance. Monitor crop health, implement pest control measures, and manage irrigation. Handle budgeting, procurement of supplies, and inventory management. Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations. Analyze production data to improve efficiency and sustainability. Additional Responsibilities for Social Media and Content Creation: Contribute to the farm''s social media presence on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok for the "Farming Watch" channels. Run a GoPro camera to capture daily farm activities and upload footage to social media platforms. Be comfortable and willing to be on camera, as this role offers a great opportunity to grow your personal brand. Develop engaging content that showcases farm operations, best practices, and the daily life of a grain farm. Collaborate with the farm team to create and implement a content calendar that aligns with the farm''s goals and objectives. Qualifications: 35 years of grain farming experience with modern techniques. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in farm management software and equipment operation. Valid drivers license; CDL preferred. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation. Comfortable with being on camera and creating engaging video content. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to explain farm operations and procedures to various audiences. Basic video editing skills or willingness to learn. Education: Agricultural degree or diploma preferred, but relevant experience can substitute for formal education.
