Job Description

The Construction Project Manager, oversees all phases of construction projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. From the initial site assessment to project delivery, the role involves technical evaluations, budget and schedule preparation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Location: 4-6 Site Projects between Ottawa and Gatineau Salary: 130k -150k + 20% Bonus Key Responsibilities: Coordinate project development and construction management, ensuring timelines, costs, and contract requirements are met. Participate in the selection and contracting of consultants. Develop project schedules, define requirements, and establish necessary operational environments. Prepare and monitor project initiation documentation (e.g., pricing requests, contracts). Review technical plans and specifications, recommending necessary changes. Collaborate on contractor selection processes. Monitor project timelines, proposing rapid solutions to overcome obstacles. Actively participate in meetings, site visits, and conflict resolution. Conduct systematic site inspections, address anomalies, and implement corrective actions. Ensure work compliance with plans and coordinate final project documentation (e.g., warranties, maintenance manuals). Approve invoices, manage project amendments, and oversee risk management. Negotiate with key stakeholders (e.g., contractors, engineers, architects) to ensure efficient project progress. Regularly report project updates and involve resources when necessary. Transition completed projects to operational teams, ensuring effective handover. Qualifications: Education: Diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent. A bachelors degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is an asset. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in project management/construction, preferably in large-scale residential developments. Requirements: Bilingualism in French and English is a MUST Valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle. Availability for travel between constructions sites General site safety certification; membership in a professional engineering organization is a plus.
