This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the student, transit and maintenance requirements at this location. The GM position provides a high degree of autonomy to achieve business objectives, reporting directly to the Regional Vice-President.Please note that this position requires a 3-year term contract, at which time renewal or transfer options are available for . Transdev is a Global company and has ample growth opportunities for career development!As the General Manager you will be responsible for: Provide leadership to foster effective operations and provide organizational growth – This will include tasks such as administrative requirements, contractual service delivery, identifying and addressing operational needs, developing strategic plans to meet business objectives, and manage information systems.Prioritize safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees – This will include tasks such as ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, provincial and federal regulations, preserve and maintain company and contractual assets (including vehicles, facilities, inventory and tools and equipment), and identify training requirements for all personnel.Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and assist in business growth – This will include tasks such as promoting effective communication channels with clients, identifying and exploring opportunities for sales leads, and accurately and efficiently meet reporting obligations.Manage budget allocations effectively and enhance operational efficiencies – This will include tasks such as analyze, forecast and manage budgets, and identify resource requirements.You will bring: Relevant education that is combined with hands-on experience in transportation or a related field.A passion for operations management with 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.A creative problem-solving approach, able to assess your resource needs, trends, and plan accordingly.Excellent communication skills, understanding active listening skills, probing with employees & clients on challenges and opportunities for success.Experience with budget forecasting and models.A safety-first approach.A suitable police records check and other background screening.Salary:$100,000 annually with annual bonus opportunities, company health insurance.
