The role requires adaptability to various working conditions and locations.Must Haves:Hold certification as a certified Millwright or Pipefitter journey-person and be a member (or willing to join) of their respective union, local 2736 or 170.5+ years of mechanical & structural field, project, and supervisory experience.5+ years of proven experience directing the work of others.Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.Proficient in MS Office Suite and other technology resources.Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work within tight deadlines.Demonstrated strong and collaborative leadership skills.Ability to lead and direct up to 30 tradespeople per shift with safety and quality support.Nice to Haves:Additional certifications in project management or mechanical engineering.Experience in working with diverse teams and environments.Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems beyond the core requirements.Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering sectors.Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to conduct safety briefings.Responsibilities:Report to the Project Manager and collaborate with site leadership to lead crews and oversee daily activities on site.Lead, mentor, coach, and facilitate the development of General Foremen and Foremen.Oversee and ensure that appropriate planning, scheduling, and objectives are set for the execution of work activities during the project.Oversee the supervision of activities, manpower, materials, and equipment associated with the operation of the project site during the scheduled work shift.Work in various conditions, including heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid environments.Work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature.Work on customer sites, supplier premises, and other facilities as required.
