Role - Learning Experience Designer (LED)• LEDs at NeonTrain support clients as they plan, build, and facilitate online learning in Brightspace.• A NeonTrain LED builds courses and teaches others how to build courses in Brightspace.• As an LED, you will help clients map out their courses based on sound learning goals, including creating meaningful assessments and activities. You will advocate for the learner and manage projects from beginning to end.• In this role, you will be a coach, advisor, change leader, course builder, and planner. This includes hosting virtual client meetings where you’re leading the conversation and deciding on next steps.• You are comfortable making and maintaining professional connections with clients. Our clients come from varied industries and backgrounds; learning their ‘language’ means you can have meaningful conversations!• Internally, you communicate often with the team, and follow-up when someone asks for your help.• You know when to tap someone else for assistance, and value a fun, professional working relationship with your peers.Technical Skill SetBrightspace Expertise:• You have experience designing courses in the Brightspace learning platform; you can use HTML course page templates and can plan module structures.You know how to edit a course homepage, so it communicates information to learners.You feel confident navigating Brightspace, customizing the system’s look and feel, and using the tools in Brightspace to achieve our clients’ learning needs.Learning Experience Design Expertise:• Being a Learning Experience Designer means that you’re creating the learning experience from the learner’s point of view.You’re focused on the learner’s entire journey; from the first email the system sends them, to when they achieve their course certificate.This role is not about developing eLearning from a storyboard or designing a cool matching activity; it’s about advocating for the learner’s needs, and guiding our clients to develop meaningful learning for their staff. Not just creating click-through learning experiences that look pretty. Also, you love Bloom’s Taxonomy.Microsoft Office:• Proficiency in using the full Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, PPT, Word, OneNote, SharePoint) to conduct meetings with clients and manage documents for course building and training.Rapid Authoring Tools (Asset, not Required):• Experience with Storyline 360, Rise or other rapid-authoring tools is considered an asset but not a formal role requirement.Bonus Skills (Asset, not Required):• Experience with:HTML, CSS, JavaScript.Using video editing tools or software.Image editing tools/software.Education & Experience• Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience will be considered.• Minimum 3 years of experience working with Brightspace.**French considered an assetBenefits, Salary & Work Location• NeonTrain offers a competitive benefits package with excellent health & dental coverage.• Starting at $75,000 CAD/year.• This position is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and requires local candidates to work in-office.
